Apex water and sewer utility customers can now text WATER to (919) 372-7475 to report issues via text message. Customers are auto-enrolled in the service, using the phone number listed on their utility account, and receive a text message from (919) 372-7475 confirming their enrollment.
Want to take advantage of this service? Check that the phone number listed on your utility account is current and can receive text messages. View your information and correct any outdated numbers here. Once your phone number is updated in our system, you will be auto-enrolled and can begin texting "WATER" to report issues and receive service information.
Bookmark this website. After opening the link, click the drop-down to select which utility is experiencing the issue. The map shows real time water / sewer issues reported by other Apex customers and display how many residents are affected by the issue. If you have any questions regarding the issue during normal business hours, please contact (919) 372-7453. After hours, on weekends, and holidays, Water Resources staff will call the number on the customer account for more information about the reported water or sewer issue.

These forms are best for water or sewer issues like meter box or sewer clean out damage, odor complaints, or utility easements. Issues reported by this form create a service request for Water Resources Operations staff. Staff may contact you for more information on your non-emergency issue.
Addressed as staff time allows:
Click here to report water or sewer concerns like illegal connections to hydrants, water conservation, or cross connection control violations. Concerns submitted by this form will be addressed by Water Resources Operations staff but will not be responded to like an emergency.

- Know your account number - You can find this printed on your bill.
- Set up your account in the mobile app - Don’t wait until you need to report an issue! Follow the instructions below to set up any associated accounts in the mobile app, so that it’s ready to go when if you need to report an issue.
After downloading the app, set up your service(s) by tapping Profile, Add Account, and following the on-screen prompts. If you experience a service issue, open the app and tap Report a Problem to select the issue.
- Update your contact info with us - You can also use your phone number to report an outage, but only if that number is updated in our customer database. Complete this form or call (919) 362-8676 and press option 2 to update your info.
