Western Big Branch Area Plan

The Western Big Branch Area Plan: Encompassing Portions of the Friendship and New Hill Communities was unanimously adopted by the Apex Town Council on November 21, 2024 after a 19-month planning process. The purpose of this plan was to update the 2045 Land Use Map and 2045 Transportation Plan in the study area to reflect community input, regional needs, and the latest available data. The study area, displayed below, encompasses portions of the New Hill and Friendship communities and is located within the western Big Branch Basin watershed.
