Raleigh-Durham International

Raleigh-Durham International Airport is located 15 minutes from Apex, easily accessible via Interstate 540. This part of the region’s "Outer Loop" provides Apex residents with six lanes of interstate-quality access, reducing drive time by offering a more direct route, free of traffic lights.

Bus Transportation in Apex

GoApex Route 1

GoApex Route 1 launched service in summer of 2022. GoApex Route 1 is free to the public and provides hourly trips from 6 AM to 10 PM, Monday through Saturday except certain holidays. The Town has partnered with GoCary to provide the fixed route service and GoWake Access to provide the complementary ADA paratransit service, called GoApex Door to Door. Rail Transportation

Amtrak, Inter-City Rail Service

Amtrak's network spans more than 500 stations across 21,400 miles (34,000 km) of track. Of this, Amtrak owns roughly 623 miles (1,003 km) and operates an additional 132 miles, with the rest of the routes running on tracks owned by other railroad companies. The nearest Amtrak stations are in Cary and Raleigh.
