Holi Celebration

This is a Town-Organized event. What does this mean?

Holi, an festival of colors, celebrates the beginning of spring.

This year’s celebration features:

  • Live music and performances
  • Food trucks
  • Holi powders (powder in a variety of colors, while supplies last)
  • Hum Sub Information booth

Thank you to our cultural advisory group, Hum Sub, for their collaboration and time spent volunteering to bring Apex Holi to the Apex community.

Know Before You Go: 

  • Holi powders will be provided at the event. No powders brought to the event will be permitted inside the event boundary. Visit the information booth at the event to pick up your powder packets!
  • Parking is available at Salem Elementary and Salem Middle School parking lots.
  • Parking along Willard Way is closed to attendees.
  • Participants will be required to sign a Liability Waiver at the event before receiving the Town-supplied Holi powders.
  • Tossed powders may stain clothing, hair or skin. Please wear clothing that can get messy.
  • There is a designated area for tossing Holi powders into the air. Attendees will be required to stay within the designated area while tossing powder.
  • Town staff may be on site during the festival taking photos/video of festival events and attendees




What is the difference between a Community Event and a Town-Organized Event?


Community Events 
This is an event that a non-profit organization runs, pays for, and plans. Town of Apex staff provides an event location (Town Hall Campus, Salem Street, etc.), along with staff from public safety, public works and other departments, as necessary.

Town-Organized Events
This is an event that the Town of Apex creates, pays for, and plans. Town of Apex staff manages the programming, including activities, logistics, and vendors. This is sometimes referred to as a “Town Owned Event”.
