Beginning Thursday, July 23rd, Waste Industries will begin their recycling routes at 5:30 am (30 minutes earlier than the normal 6 am start).
Higher than normal volumes of garbage and recycling are causing drivers to make more frequent trips to the landfill, which causes a delay in completing routes. The earlier start will help drivers collect all of their route as scheduled.
The schedule will rotate between neighborhoods, so that the same neighborhood is not affected by the early start time each week.
