Welcome!

  • Typical awards: $500–$20,000 per program
  • Total annual pool: Scaled to population (about $1 per resident)

New this year: We’re spotlighting impact stories and testimonials from funded programs so residents can see how Town partnerships make a difference.

What We Fund

We fund programs (not general operations) that:

  • Complement or enhance a vital Town service
  • Provide a more cost-effective or operationally expedient approach
  • Fill a critical gap between government services and community needs

Lower priority: requests primarily for direct staffing costs or programs that duplicate services already available to the public.

Timeline

  1. Dec 1 – Feb 28: Apply online
  2. Mar – May: Review by Finance Committee; recommendations to Town Council
  3. By July 1: Notifications sent
  4. By June 30 (following year): Short report on how funds were used and the outcomes achieved

Impact in Action (examples)

  • Blanket Buddies — “no-sew” blankets distributed to families via SAFEChild
  • Camp G.R.A.C.E. — a developmentally appropriate summer day camp for children with autism
  • Give the Gift of Swim — swim lessons for underserved children in Apex

Have a story to share? We’ll invite funded partners to submit a short quote, photo, or 60-second video for our “Impact” section.

Testimonials

"The funding provided by the Town of Apex Non-Profit Funding Program has allowed us to run the Apex Service Groups and Faith Alliance, train multiple professional and community groups to be able to recognize and respond to a human trafficking situation, and provide impactful interaction with community members at awareness events."

"With this funding, we were able to expand our Blanket Buddies project, enabling CAPA members to assemble and distribute comforting ‘no-sew’ blankets to SAFEchild. SAFEchild works with families facing a wide range of challenges, and these blankets offer children a soft, tangible sense of safety and warmth during times of trauma or abuse. Thanks to this support, CAPA has created and delivered more than 100 blankets to SAFEchild over the past few years."

"Our team at Pelvic Health Fund is immensely grateful for the support from the Town of Apex Nonprofit Funding Program. To date, we have been able to provide 95 local individuals with the supplies needed for reaching their pelvic health goals thanks to their generosity."

"Thanks to funding from the Town of Apex, we were able to continue our mission of clothing children with dignity and love."
