Gallery Exhibit Reception

Friday, May 12, 2023

Join us in celebrating our new art exhibition! Meet with the artists and enjoy some light refreshments!

MICHAEL WEITZMAN is a nature photographer who has had successful one-person exhibits of his canvas and metal landscape, flower, and animal images in Upstate New York and North Carolina. He has had a large exhibit of 30 pieces in 2015-2016 at Duke University Hospital, as well as several shows at the Herb Young and Bond Park Centers in Cary.

Structure and methodical detail show in MARSHA GLICKMAN’s passion for deconstructing and reconfiguring found paper, paintings, book parts and other ephemera into meaningful works of art. She incorporates right and left-brain messages with the effusive use of color to provoke the viewer to see their personal story in the work. The complexity and hidden messages in these creations reference concepts and historical instances influenced by life experiences: living and travelling internationally, family upbringing, thoughts on world events and scientific education.

Based in Apex, North Carolina, BETH HOPPER is a self-taught artist working primarily in acrylics and watercolors. Her work meanders through media, subject, and style alike, creating a wide spectrum of variety. The work ranges from loud, splashy abstracts, to minute architecture studies and emotive portraits. This seemingly undisciplined diversity reflects not a lack of focus, but a devotion to the whims of creativity. Hopper aims to create art the viewer will love to explore as much as she loved crafting it.
