This 160 acre park offers athletic fields and courts, picnic areas, playgrounds, fitness and nature trails, and a 50+ acre lake.

  • Fishing dock (fishing permit required) - Apex Community Park is part of the NC Wildlife Community Fishing Program and is stocked with channel catfish. This pier is wheelchair accessible.
  • Vessel launch (vessel permit required) - Canoes, kayaks, paddleboards, sailboards, john boats and rowing skulls are allowed on the lake and must be launched from the designated launch site only. Vessels may not exceed 14ft in length.

Apex Community Park Playground Renovation Project

This project provides design and engineering services to enhance ADA accessibility at the playground adjacent to the baseball fields. The improvements will replace existing play equipment with new, inclusive features and incorporate ADA-accessible ramps and walkways connecting the playground to adjacent parking lots, creating a more welcoming, safe and accessible play environment for visitors of all abilities.
