John M. Brown Community Center

The John M. Brown Community Center, formerly known as the Apex Community Center, offers a variety of programs for all ages, from preschoolers to seniors. You can also sign up here for fishing and vessel permits, dog park passes, and visit Open Gym during scheduled hours. The Community Center also has several rental facilities available for your next party or gathering.

Community Center Registration

Registration is available in person, by mail (to P.O. Box 250, Apex, NC, 27502), or online through PeakConnect. For specific dates, times, guidelines and other information regarding registration for residents and non-residents, please refer to the Program Guide. 

Medical Forms

If a participant uses an EPI-Pen or for kids attending most camps, additional medical forms are required to be submitted with registration. View more info about medical forms here. 

Interested in Being an Instructor?

We are always looking to add new programs here at the Community Center! If you are interested in becoming an instructor for Preschool, Youth, Teen or Adult Programs, please email elizabeth.shoaf@apexnc.org. If you are interested in teaching Senior (55+) programs, please email meghan.rushing@apexnc.org. For Specialized Recreation programs, please email allie.prelaske@apexnc.org. For Cultural Arts Programs at The Halle, email marie.neal@apexnc.org.
