[ARCHIVED] Parking-to-Dining Conversion in Downtown Apex

Downtown Apex Parking-to-Dining 350

Beginning Monday, June 29th, many parallel parking spaces in downtown Apex (on Salem between Saunders and Chatham) will be converted to outdoor seating areas for use by our downtown food and beverage establishments. Our hope is that this expanded outdoor seating will allow downtown businesses to begin regaining some of the capacity lost during the pandemic.

Please keep in mind that this is a temporary conversion, and any barriers or other structures placed along the street will also be temporary.

Four spaces will remain reserved for 15-minute loading/unloading activities. No handicap spaces are lost in this project.

Remember that there are many public parking spaces available within walking distance of downtown - take a look at the parking map!
