The First Russian Festival in the Triangle!
The Rotary Children’s Fund is presenting the first Russian Festival in the Triangle Area. Come join us for the live folk entertainment, kids and adults activities, and delicious Russian food at The Halle Cultural Arts Center of Apex on February 5th from 4:00pm till 9:00pm.
* Special guest: professional Georgian dance group!
The Golden Gates group consists of several folk ensembles including the youth folk dance group (St. Petersburg, Russia), professional musicians Moscow Nights (Raleigh, USA) and Georgian professional dancers (Tbilisi, Georgia).
For the past 14 years the Golden Gates group has been touring all across the United States, introducing traditional Russian and Georgian culture through singing and dancing. Not only do performers present their own culture, but also they are profoundly introduced to America’s history, culture and lifestyle.
The First Triangle Russian Festival aims to celebrate Russian and former Soviet Republic countries cultural heritage and to unite the Slavic communities in the Triangle area. We would be happy to see all communities as well as general public!
The Rotary Children’s Fund aims to promote music and dance, and constantly works towards its mission of preserving folk culture and building cultural bridges between the USA and Eastern European countries through performing arts.
Come join to celebrate Russian and Former Soviet Republic countries cultural heritage!
