ABC Permits

When applying for an ABC permit there are several classifications and several documents that you will need to provide.

Retail Permits

You will need to submit the following documents to the Police Department to apply for a retail ABC permit:

  • Completed ABC Commission Local Government Opinion Form
  • Completed ABC Inspection/Zoning Compliance Form
  • Photocopy of a valid government issued identification (Driver’s License, Passport, Military ID, etc.)
  • Completed, signed and notarized Apex Police Department Application Form (PDF)

Special Occasion, Temporary or Special One Time Permits

You will need to submit the following documents for a special occasion, temporary or special one time permit:

  1. Yes, we can notarize your documents for you.
  2. We have 15 days to process your request however most requests are processed within 5 business days all required documents are submitted.
  3. We will notify you when your application is ready for pick up. Once you receive our call you can pick it up during our normal office hours (Monday through Friday between 8am and 5pm)
  4. The ABC Inspection/Zoning Compliance Form needs to be completed by the following Town of Apex Departments: Inspections (919) 249-3418, Fire (919) 249-1040, Planning (919) 249-3426
