Master Facilities Map

Each municipal facility has been located on a Master Facilities Map (PDF) and is routinely inspected to document and correct any potential adverse effects on the stormwater system.

Street Sweeping Program
A street sweeping program was implemented in Apex in 2013 with a goal of improving the overall appearance and functionality of Apex roadways and the Apex stormwater drainage system. The town contracts out the sweeping service as a cost effective method of removing potential stormwater pollutants that would otherwise eventually end up in the stormwater drainage system and ultimately in Apex waterways.

Good Housekeeping Principles
As a homeowner, you can apply stormwater pollution prevention and good housekeeping principles around your house. Household Hazardous Waste is a prime example of a stormwater pollution prevention issue that may apply at home.
