Registration


All registration will be held at the Apex Community Center located at 53 Hunter Street during normal business hours. Apex residents begin registration September 23 and non-residents begin registration October 7. There will be a lottery at 8:45am on the first day of registration to determine line order. This program is not available for online registration. League age is based on a player’s age on February 28, 2018.  
 
The cost is $70 for Apex residents and $85 for nonresidents. View this street listing (PDF) to see if you qualify as a resident.

  7-8 Pee Wee Boys 
  7-8 Pee Wee Girls (wait list)*
  9-10 Mite Boys (wait list)*
  9-10 Mite Girls (wait list)*
  11-12 Major Boys (wait list)*
  11-12 Major Girls (wait list)*
  13-14 Junior Boys (Sunday games) (wait list)*
  13-15 Junior Girls (wait list)*
  15-16 Senior Boys (Sunday games) (wait list)*

*Leagues indicated above are full and taking a waiting list.  There is no cost to sign up for the waiting list. When a spot becomes available, players from the waiting list will be contacted and offered the next spot in the order they signed up.
  

About Youth Basketball


The 7-8 aged boys and 7-10 aged girls will play with 8 1/2-foot baskets. The 9-10 aged boys will play with 9-foot baskets. All other age groups will play with 10-foot baskets.

Practices begin the week of November 13. Teams will practice once each week on rotating weeknights.  Games will be on Saturdays with the exception of the leagues noted above. Games begin December 9. Season runs through the end of February.

Family Basketball Ham Toss


Join us for the Family Basketball Ham Toss! Family members join teams to shoot foul shots with a chance to win a holiday ham.

This event will be held at the Apex Community Center on Monday, December 19. Teams consist of 2 members of the same family, 1 adult (age 18 or older) and 1 child (17 and under). The winning team from each age division is that which holds the highest number of points when the scores of both participants from all 3 rounds are totaled.

Handicaps will be given to the youngest age divisions. Maximum of 1 prize ham per family. No preregistration is necessary and this event is free.

Age Division & Times


  • 6 and under & 11-12: 6:00pm
  • 7-8 & 13-14: 7:00pm
  • 9-10 & 15-17: 8:00pm
