Criminal Investigations Division

Responsibilities

The Criminal Investigations Division is comprised of experienced detectives assigned to investigate a full range of criminal activity. Detectives work in conjunction with each other to help solve the crimes which affect the quality of life for our citizens and visitors. They are dedicated to providing the most diligent and professional investigative services possible.

The Apex Police Department  had a full time Domestic Violence Victims Advocate on staff. The goal of this position is to provide services that will assist victims and survivors of domestic violence with their physical and emotional recovery and provide support and aid as they continue to interact with the judicial system. In accordance with the North Carolina Fair Treatment Act, North Carolina General Statute 15A-825, the Apex Police Department is committed to the extent that is reasonably possible to assure each victim is provided certain services and rights.
