Public Transportation Services

Public transit is offered in Apex by 2 agencies, who coordinate with the town staff when routes are modified or new services are proposed.

Triangle Transit


Triangle Transit offers fixed route bus service in Apex. Bus stops are located at:
  • Hughes Street North of NC 55
  • Mason Street Adjacent to Apex Community Center
  • Shepherds Vineyard Drive North of US 64
There are 2 bus shelters on Beaver Creek Commons Drive, but neither is currently served by transit.

Certain residents are eligible for T-Linx On-Demand Paratransit through Triangle Transit. The program has several requirements and you have to apply to the program. Information is available online or by calling Triangle Transit at (919) 485-7433.

Transit Advisory Committee for Safety (TRACS)


A reservation based van service operated by Wake County. Transportation is available Monday through Friday, and on Saturday for dialysis and employment. Service hours vary daily, depending on appointments and scheduling, but generally from 5 am to 8 pm. For trip information and reservations, call (919) 212-7005.
