MUSICAL MEMORIES 

We’re acting; we’re singing; we’re dancing up a storm!! Come join the South of Broadway Players as we get back on the road with Guys and Dolls! Whether you love being center stage or one of the crowd, we are the group for you! Each session we write a short play, throw in some songs and perform the whole thing on the last day of class. No experience necessary.

SENIORS PLAY READING 

We all love to laugh. This session will introduce A.R. Gurney, whose plays often explore the theme of the declining upper-class life in contemporary America. This class will examine a few-the who, what, where, when and why-and then explore them further through play reading and discussion. No previous experience necessary.

SENIOR READERS THEATRE 

Have you ever seen a play and thought, “I could do that!”? Well then this class is for you! Readers Theatre is a style of theatre in which actors do not need to memorize their lines in order to tell a story. Learn what it is like to be on stage by participating in a variety of theatre activities used to build confidence and boost creativity. No previous experience necessary.

CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT 

Have you ever wondered how playwrights develop characters? Where do they get their ideas? How do actors know how to portray these specific fictional beings? This class will look at how to bring a scripted character to life. No experience necessary.
